Executive Summary

Museum gift shops represent critical recurring revenue streams for cultural institutions. Hawas Cloud introduced H-GiftShop, directly linking every commercial bronze replica, monograph, silk scarf, and philatelic sheet to its master canonical heritage artwork in H-MCMS, automating artist royalty distributions upon checkout.

The Operational Challenge

Commercial e-commerce software (Shopify, WooCommerce) is disconnected from the collection database. When artworks are deaccessioned, commercial inventory becomes inaccurate. Manual royalty accounting for artist foundations was prone to errors and disputes.

The Hawas Cloud Solution

Linked every SKU to ParentObjectId in H-MCMS. Implemented a dual POS and web e-commerce engine with real-time royalty splits (e.g. 20% to Artist Foundation / 80% to Museum Operations). Embedded serialized NTAG424 NFC chips in limited edition replica packaging (e.g. #042/250) verifiable on tms.hawas-qr.com.

Verified Quantitative Results

100% automated foundation royalty payouts; 240% increase in certified limited edition replica sales; unified omnichannel inventory across museum physical counters and online portals.
